JAKARTA - The song titled 'Love' written by Richard Kyoto, was first introduced to the public as one of the materials from the album Ermy Kulit entitled 'Love' and released in 1986.

Poor is one of the hits Ermy Kulit has issued, and is still being heard by Indonesian music lovers today.

The success of the song 'Love' on the market, made Hetty Koes Endang record and bring it back with a keroncong arrangement that incidentally is different from the Ermy Kulit version.

For the following years, Ermy Kulit and Hetty Koes Endang are still performing Richard Kyoto's songs on the music stages.

Until finally, Richard learned of the alleged copyright infringement committed by Hetty Koes Endang while performing his song at a concert entitled Konsert Satu Suara Volume 2 which took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2015.

Richard said Hetty had performed songs without permission, even changed some of the lyrics without notification first.

"In those 90s, each producer performed our songs, permission for the singer they paid. So the system pays, no more promises, only good will," said Richard Kyoto during a press conference in Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 16.

"Well, he made it a keroncong version, it turned out that he was circulated in Malaysia. Yes, there is no problem. The problem is, he sings again in the show by changing the lyrics," continued Richard.

"In addition, the problem again is that he changed the songwriter to someone else's name, the Malaysian songwriter. And he printed it in DVD form. Not just uploading it on YouTube, he printed it in DVD form. This is a serious violation. No permission."

Therefore, Richard Kyoto and his team of attorneys sent an open subpoena. They gave Hetty Koes Endang seven days to respond to the summons.
