Equator For 'Miracle' Late Premiere Album

JAKARTA - The debut album of the urban pop band from Bogor, Khatulistiwa, which is titled Decade, was re-released via the MS Music record label. This time, it was titled Miracles to describe the gratitude of its personnel.

This album was first released by Edis (drums), Triono and Romi (keyboards), Saldy (percussion), Luki (vocals), Agus Stephen (guitar), and Andri Is (bass) in 2009 via Greennote Records in cassette and CD format. However, after that they were vacuumed because Luki was hit by a disaster.

"Luki had to undergo surgery to remove a tumor that caused blindness. So that the album was 'hidden' for approximately 11 years," said the Khatulistiwa in a written statement received by the editor, Friday, March 19.

What is hidden here contains the meaning, the inadequacy of stage promotions because Luki is sick. Until then, the album has now been re-released in digital format via Element vocalist Ferdy Tahier's MS Music. The cover design has also been changed, created by Gada Tahier, Ferdy's son.

"Luckily we have extraordinary friends who helped our album finally be released. Not only a great friend, in 1997 Ferdy was an equatorial pianist," continued the band.

Still like the initial release version, the album Miracles features Coky Bollemeyer (NTRL) and Shelomita. Coky played in the song Seindah Bunga, while Shelomita took part in the number Turns out to be Love.

Then, what is the philosophy of the word Miracles which is the title of the album now? None other than, because of the gratitude of the Khatulistiwa personnel to God for all the happiness and health as well as the fortune they get.

"Our gratitude to Allah SWT, of course our family. Also our gratitude for still being together, Luki with his shortcomings still wants to sing because of his love for music," said Khatulistiwa.
