JAKARTA - TikTok Rising Indonesia is a place to find and empower new local talents, build a community of artists and fans, and showcase the diversity of Indonesian music sounds. Three months after joining this program, MALIQ & D'Escentials and Avolia have felt a significant positive impact on TikTok.

The project targets local musicians, both established musicians, newcomers, bound by labels, or stand independently. Musicians and music creators can access the various support provided by TikTok Rising program along with hashtags, and other platform features, to showcase their work, find, and interact with the community.

In addition, the TikTok team also regularly monitors the hashtag #RisingOnTikTok to find newcomer musicians who are on the rise on TikTok. A number of newcomer musicians will also have the opportunity to take part in the TikTok Rising Indonesia program, as experienced by MALIQ & D'Escentials and Avolia.

Musicians who are members of the TikTok Rising Indonesia program will get a briefing on how to use the tools and features available on TikTok to improve their presence and connect with new audiences.

"We are proud to be able to support these talented talents, both newcomer musicians and those who are already established, when they are in a relationship with their fans and communities on TikTok. Through the TikTok Rising Indonesia program, we can find musicians and songs that have potential and equip them with the tools needed to increase their exposure and reach a wider audience," explained Christo Putra, Product Strategy Lead, TikTok Artist Services SEA.

MALIQ & D'Essentials' work entitled 'We Make Romantic' a very trending song on TikTok. Although initially not sure how to take advantage of this platform, MALIQ & D'Escentials (MAD)'s efforts to understand how TikTok works, which is supported by the TikTok team, have yielded sweet results.

"We didn't expect that our singles to make it romantic that we uploaded on TikTok not only reach adult fans, but also young listeners. Seeing the various content that uses this song on TikTok has also succeeded in making our enthusiasm increase! There is a lot of interpretation of this song on TikTok and this is what makes our journey as musicians even more exciting!," explained Widi Puradiredja, drummer and MAD producer.

Last March, there was 1 million content using the song's clip. In just three months, this number increased rapidly to 280%, reaching more than 3.8 million * content uploads on TikTok. The music group also enjoyed a 28 million jump in playback on Spotify, or an increase of up to 1,547% compared to three months ago.

Newcomer singer Avolia also shared a similar experience after being selected to join the TikTok Rising Indonesia program, thanks to her song 'You're the Coach' who is trending on TikTok. After three months, the single belonging to the 27-year-old singer continues to be liked by the TikTok community, as seen from the use of Avolia's songs in almost 65 thousand * content on TikTok. Avolia also saw an increase in playback for her single on Spotify, where the song has reached 1.9 million streams.

"I never imagined that after being found by the community and launching my own songs, TikTok still saw the potential to develop my presence, both inside and outside the application. Being part of the TikTok Rising Indonesia program over the past three months has been extraordinary for me. This program has shown musicians like me how important it is to build meaningful interactions with fans and music lovers throughout Indonesia," explained Avolia.
