Janita Gabriella Prepares Her Own Song As A Third Single, Doesn't Want To Get To Know You

JAKARTA - Young singer Janita Gabriela presents her third single in mid-2024. Titled 'Don't Want To Get To Know You', the song proves Janita to be productive as a newcomer.

This new work was released six months from the previous single, 'Relakan Cinta' which was present on November 29 last year. However, this new song felt special, because it became his debut in playing his own song.

"It's true, this third song is made by me. This is the first time I've written a song after learning how to make a song well for a long time. After that, I gave it to my label as an option for a third single. Thankfully, Sony Music welcomed it positively and immediately chose it for the song Badminton," said the singer who had competed in X-Factor.

Still carrying the theme of love, especially heartbreak, this song depicts the feelings of someone who is disappointed with himself.

"When we love someone, but it turns out that people don't really love us, there must be a little bit of disappointment with ourselves because they have chosen the wrong choice. But, apart from disappointment, there is also hope in 'Don't Want to Get to Know You' that one day, we will find someone who sincerely and truly wants to be with us. That's the message I want to convey through this song, "he explained.

Although it is the first song he created, Janita did not find it difficult. In fact, the writing process only takes 20 minutes, starting from creating a chorus notation to recording it simply.

"So, at that time the tone of this song continued to rotate on my head until I finally recorded it with a voice note spontaneously. This song had undergone adjustments in terms of lyrics when it entered the recording process, but in terms of notation, it was the same as when it was originally made. Because this is a song made by myself, so I sing it quite smoothly. It's just that, there is an insecure feeling because this is the first song that I created and immediately made it a third single. Even so, I have given the best during the process of making it and hopefully my listeners can feel that when they hear this song.."

With powerful arrangements and songs, Janita hopes that her work can get a place in the hearts of fans.
