Bebi Romeo And Afgan Make History At The 2024 Java Jazz Festival Stage

JAKARTA - Senior musician, Bebi Romeo is known as a singer and writer of a ballad song that is typical of pop music. He performed his songs at the Java Jazz Festival 2024 on the third day, Sunday, May 26 yesterday.

The vocalist of the Romeo band presents the concept of an interesting performance by involving singers from the younger generation. He invited the young talents of Moneva, Syabila Putri, who is Bebi-Meisya's son, to Afgan.

Bebi Romeo started the show with his duet with Syabila performing the song 'Tiada Kata Separate'. This song was popularized by a ballad specialist singer, Rio Febrian during his gold time.

After that, Bebi introduced Moneva and sang the song'Bring My Love' which was very familiar to my ears. Moneva answered Bebi's trust with her vocals and stunning stage action.

Not to forget he also presented Afgan, one of the singers whose careers also developed with songs by Bebi Romeo. 'Sadis' is one of them, sung by both on the Java Jazz stage. The atmosphere was boisterous to welcome the appearance of the two singers who had a long history.

"I am very grateful that Allah brought me together with him, because at that time I really couldn't find a singer who could represent my song with feelings, heart and how to sing," said Bebi Romeo.

Apart from 'Sadis', Afgan also managed to score hits with other Bebi Romeo songs such as 'Not Ordinary Love', 'Take My Love', 'In You Kuberjud' to 'Last Flower'.

"There is no Afgan if there is no Bebi Romeo. I feel proud to be able to sing this song," said Afgan before singing 'Not Ordinary Love'. Bebi Romeo's appearance was closed plenaryly through an iconic hit, 'Last Flower' that had been attached to the hearts of the audience present at Java Jazz 2024.
