JAKARTA - The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame through its official Instagram account announced a nomination on Wednesday, February 14. The list contains 14 names, of which some will be sworn in this year.
"Congratulations to the nominations #RockHall2025," wrote the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Instagram account in the description of the upload.
From this list, there are two big bands from Manchester, England, namely Oasis and and New Order. Both of them have been nominated, but failed to be inducted.
Other nominations include pop icons Cyndi Lauper and Mariah Carey; US alternative rock duo, The White Stripes; Mexican rock band, Man happened; as well as the rock band formed by the late Chris Cornell, Soundgarden.
Meanwhile, other names have only been nominated for the first time at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, namely Billy Idol, the late Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, OutKast, Phish, Bad Company, and The Black Crowes.
