Jessia Writes A Love Letter For Her Mother On The Song 'The Woman You Are'

JAKARTA - Pop singer and songwriter from Canada, Jessia, has just released a single titled 'The Woman You Are' to coincide with Mother's Day celebrations in North America.

"I've been wanting to write a song that celebrates mothers for a long time," said Jessia in a press release received by VOI recently.

Jessia sees her mother as a hero who always protects her. Moreover, she sees her mother's life as exciting and adventurous.

I really appreciate the strong women who raised other strong women. My mother was my superhero when I grew up and I used to dream of having an adventure-packed and exciting life like his," he explained.

Therefore, this 29-year-old artist feels the need to pay tribute to her mother with something special. And the best thing he can do as a musician is to make a work.

"In life there is a time when we realize that our parents are the ones we are looking for to get validation and affection. The Woman You Are is my mother to thank my mother for her encouragement and support over the years. I hope this song can be enjoyed by all the great mothers out there, because of what we are today without them," said Jessia.

Jessia has built a strong fanbase in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is currently on the list of countries that play the music the most. This year was opened by Jessia through a single "Care About Me" which went viral and garnered more than 1.5 million streams.
