JAKARTA - Indonesia's natural, cultural and musical tourism potential deserves more people in the world to enjoy. One of these efforts was carried out by the InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which will present international jazz performances at the Golo Mori Convention Center (GMCC), West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.

The event titled International Golo Mori Jazz 2024 was officially announced on Tuesday, April 30 as part of the International Jazz Day celebration. The festival itself is scheduled to take place on November 16.

As an ecosystem for holding State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the aviation and tourism sector, PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney has an important role in bringing Indonesian cultural hospitality and diversity to the world stage through the development of the tourism ecosystem through collaboration and development of tourism destinations.

Golo Mori Jazz 2024 is expected to increase the popularity of The Golo Mori area, which means 'Gunung God', as well as encourage local economic growth through the tourism industry. Meanwhile, Director of Marketing and Tourism Program InJourney, Maya Watono also emphasized the importance of developing tourism in eastern Indonesia as super priority tourism.

Golo Mori is one of the destinations developed by InJourney because its existence is also part of Labuan Bajo which is one of the 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP) launched by the government. The beautiful scenery and natural beauty are Golo Mori's uniqueness which must be introduced to the eyes of the world. One form of creative marketing is promotion through the implementation of this jazz music," said Maya.

Presenting music in the midst of a mountainous area is nothing new for Mount Indonesia Jazz. Mount Indonesia Jazz began to hold Mount Bromo Jazz in 2009. Over time, the chosen mountainous areas grew, starting from Mount Ijen, Mount Slamet, and Mount Burangrang.

"International Golo Mori Jazz 2024 will present legendary musicians from across generations with a unique and memorable composition," said Sigit Pramono as the Founder of Mount Jazz.

Musicians of Indonesian and international music legends across generations who will appear in Golo Mori Jazz 2024 include Andien, Maliq & D Essentials, Sheila Majid, and Tohpati. Tohpati will appear in Orchestra format to guide the chanting of Sheila Majid and Andien in a special international collaboration.
