Note Hits Hundreds Of Millions Of Streams, Shaun Reveals Its Mission And Music Travel

JAKARTA - So far, many popular songs have come from the K-Pop scene in South Korea. But beyond that, there are also those who managed to achieve global success through works that penetrated hundreds of millions of streams. This phenomenon comes with the name 'Shaun'.

This musician has a wealth of experience in the music world. He is a singer, songwriter and reliable music producer. He has handled popular works from well-known Korean boy/girl groups, such as EXO and 4Minutes.

Shaun started his career professionally as a member of the band KOXX. He also explored his musical abilities further and started his career individually.

Shaun did major in music in college. However, in a special interview with VOI, he revealed that he never had a big ambition to become a musician.

"To be honest, I've never really had the ambition to become a professional musician. I just wanted to make music and it turned out to be liked, so I kept working so that more people could hear it," he said of a musical mission in a virtual interview.

After distributing several works, the single 'Way Back Home' which was released 5 years ago finally created anomalies. The song received remarks beyond its expectations.

"The song was created quite easily and quickly. Let me write it in 5 hours," recalls Shaun about the song that has been played 280 million times on YouTube.

In 2024 he continued to write new songs, including Easy which was released last February. This song feels light and easy to like.

"I was inspired by the arrangement of the song Every Breath You Take (The Police) and several other songs. I'm also trying to give a special touch to my vocal character on the song," he explained.

In 2023, Shaun has completed a tour in North America and received an extraordinary welcome. In the near future, he has planned to continue his tour in several areas in Asia. Is Indonesia included? We look forward to it.
