JAKARTA - Management and members of the Indonesian Music Promoter Association (APMI) visited the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) on Wednesday, March 20.

Through the upload of APMI's official Instagram account, it appears that the group led by Dino Hamid as the Chair of APMI spoke with Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno.

"Audience @apmi.ind with mas @sandiuno and the @kemenparekraf.ri ranks discussed the development of the world ecosystem of performances and music festivals in Indonesia and the socialization of the IQTF (Indonesia Quality Tourism Fund) which hopefully can have a positive impact on tourism progress and make Indonesia one of the centers of world attractions," wrote APMI's Instagram upload caption.

In the uploaded video, Dino Hamid also briefly discussed Singapore's monopoly on Taylor Swift's concert. He also gave an example of how music festivals in Indonesia are actually able to compete with other music festivals abroad.

"We have three pillars in APMI, there are qualifications, capabilities, and quality," said Dino Hamid to Sandiaga Uno.

In the video, Sandi also talked about the importance of the government's presence in supporting the performance ecosystem in Indonesia.

Previously, Dino Hamid had also spoken about his hope that the government would be more sensitive and play an active role in supporting the Indonesian performance industry.

"The understanding of the macro and micro economic impact on the performance industry, I think it still needs to be developed. Because as I said, our industry (music promoter) has just grown and has tremendous attention after the pandemic, especially in the current era, which is digital and different from before the pandemic," said Dino Hamid when met in Gambir, Central Jakarta some time ago.

Furthermore, the APMI chairman said that Indonesia has great potential to make exclusive concerts, like what Singapore did to Taylor Swift.

Dino believes that what Indonesia currently has is able to attract great musicians from abroad, if the government provides full support.

"Moreover, we are actually different from Singapore, we have several international stages, in Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali. We should be able to exclusively do three cities," concluded Dino Hamid.
