JAKARTA - The unique thought pattern of Yogyakarta artists who seem 'yeleneh' seems inseparable from Kunto Aji. He did some new things in 2024.

At the beginning of the year, Kunto Aji held an Urup Concert in the morning. According to him, the concert, which was taken from the title song from the album Introductory Purification of Mind (2023), went well and received a positive response from the audience who came.

"The Urup Concert is the first concert in the new year, where we usually celebrate the new year at 12 pm but I invite friends at dawn. It turns out that there are a lot of people who like it," said Kunto Aji in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta recently.

"Because of the problems we all can't get up early. So, when forced, there are those who sleep only an hour, some don't sleep either, but feeling the morning air in the outside environment turns out to be fun," he continued.

Urup Market was also presented to enliven the concert. Several local products were chosen based on their concern for the environment. Kunto even plans to take this concept to another city.

"We want to bring the Urup Market to Jakarta. Actually, the Urup Market should be per region, for example in Purwokerto, the market is Purwokerto. But in Jakarta, there are many people who are modern, I want to bring those from Jogja here first," he said.

It didn't stop there, the 37-year-old singer also opened the Urup Class recently. He invited his music listeners to talk about various things that were considered good.

"The Urup class is online class, the theme is always about self-development, the class is free, for anyone to register, but the capacity is because we only use zoom, so it can only be 300 people," said Kunto Aji.

"What is discussed in various ways, self-development is all kinds of things. The closest thing I want is to invite one of the environmental activists. We have been having issues about global warming and all kinds of things, only concretely what we can do. That's what is discussed," he concluded.
