David Ellefson Replaces DD Verni For Overkill Tour Concert

JAKARTA - The legendary Overkill thrash metal band has recruited David Ellefson to play bass on the 2024 Latin America Scoring concert tour. He was appointed to replace DD Verni.

Meanwhile, DD Verni as bassist and vocal background Overkill was unable to join the tour because he was still recovering after undergoing shoulder surgery.

For four decades, Overkill has been a pioneer in producing some of the most distinctive moments in the metal world. This April, the band will appear 10 times on the 2024 Latin America Scoring tour, "wrote the official Overkill Instagram account, Wednesday, March 13.

"DD Verni will not attend the show because he is recovering from shoulder surgery. Instead, the bass task will be handled by David Ellefson," he continued.

DD Verni regretted the condition that made him unable to meet fans. However, he felt relieved when Overkill appointed Ellefson as a substitute.

"It's sad not being able to be with our fans in Latin America," said Verni.

But nothing better than one of the original thrash bass players who was great and my best friend, David Ellefson, to fill that position.

On the other hand, David Ellefson expressed his respect after being appointed to take part in the 2024 Latin America Scoring tour. He is ready to show his best.

"It is an honor to replace my friend, the mightiest DD Verni, because he needs time to recover at this time," said Ellefson.

"Overkill always brings ferocity, and I can't wait to 'burn' Latin America with them."

For information, Overkill will start the tour in Guadalajara, Mexico on April 11. Next, they will appear in Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, and end in Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 28.
