Years Disappeared, Jason Ranti Comeback With Single 'Music Days

JAKARTA - eccentric musician Jason Ranti alias Jejeboy officially released a new single entitled "Music Days" after being on hiatus for almost a year from the music world. This new work was released on Saturday, March 9 to coincide with the commemoration of National Music Day.

Before discussing further about his new work, Jeje explained that his effort to avoid being noisy about the music world was in order to find himself again. He admitted to limiting stage activities on purpose.

"I disappeared. I was missing for 3 months. There were some who said I had been missing for 1 year. Whatever it is, my attempt to disappear is actually an attempt to find myself again," said Jeje.

"To reflect, find a balance and reflect on what has happened while looking for my new musical beacon. By some of my closest friends, I was taken to a 'isolation place' in T. I was taken to a house where it really felt warm," he said.

In those calm times Jason Ranti continued to hone his creativity, including writing songs and painting. With a guitar capital given by a friend, he began spinning sounds and tones until he was filled with a song entitled "Music Days".

"There, with the guitar capital given by a friend in Jogja, I am still creative in creating songs and paintings. And until a time when a song called 'Music Days' was created," he said.

The creative process of the song "Music Days" began when Jeje heard a child's chatter saying "There's Salsa on Tuesday". Without understanding what that means, not knowing who Salsa is, Jason Ranti was moved to start stringing the lyrics.

Jeje said, the song "Music Days" means a lot to him. Because through this song, he discovered many new things and brought him into a transition to become more mature, both in terms of personal and work.

"This song is important to me because it seems that through this song I have discovered new things, about musical things as well as non- musical things, at least for myself. This song has become a kind of point of transition for me from Jejeboy to Jejeman. Uhuy!. Through this song, at least I feel that what happened is fine," said Jason Ranti.

Jeje's return to the music arena promises novelty in his work, namely filling the line of lyrics with a more polite diction and avoiding medication like his previous works. According to him, there are many ways to write messages to be conveyed.

Meanwhile, in terms of music, Jason Ranti also chooses a calmer tempo. This, he said, was intended to make his work a world balancer which is currently fast and seems rushed.

Currently, Jeje's singles "Music Days" can be heard on various digital music player platforms. Jeje's return to the music scene also opened hopes for his loyal listeners to see a Jason Ranti give birth to his next works.

After the singles "Music Days are released, the plan is for Jason Ranti to work on his fourth album entitled "After the Association of Blues" in the near future.
