Joining Methosa To Make Rina Nose Find Her Music Passion

JAKARTA - The joining of Rina Nose as Methosa's vocalist who in fact carried the concept of rock music last year was quite surprising

But behind the decision, it was Rina Nose who won to join other existing personnel, namely Mansen Munthe (principal vocals), Kelana Halim (bass), Agung (synthesizer), and Dami (guitar).

Rina is often seen on the pop or dangdut stage, outside of her job as a comedian, but she wants something different and finds it in Methosa.

"I've always been in principle, I don't want to follow trends, I want to create something that doesn't follow trends. By joining Methosa, I feel like this is the type of music I want," said Rina Nose during a press conference in M Bloc, South Jakarta, Friday, March 8.

Last February, Methosa also released an album titled Kausa Nusantara, Methosa's first album in a five-person format.

The album was worked on earlier last year. After Rina entered as a permanent member, she underwent a recording session where the result was 11 songs on the album Kausa Nusantara.

Rina's musical passion can be seen from the brief recording process that was carried out. The singer from Bandung only needed three days to complete it.

"When I was told the song, I just listened to it every day. From there, the lyrics and melodies of the song continued to be memorized," said Rina about the reason the recording went smoothly.

Meanwhile, Kausa Nusantara showed Methosa's unrest over the condition of the nation which is still far from good. They saw that many Indonesians were suffering from existing policies.

Together with Pro-M as their music label, Methosa hopes that the issues they raise on 11 songs on the album Kausa Nusantara can be heard even harder.

"Hopefully with our presence in the major label, the voices of public unrest can be heard harder," said Mansen Munthe.
