Due To Taylor Swift's Concert In Singapore, Minister Luhut Wants To Create A Rival Concert In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Taylor Swift's exclusive concert in Singapore is currently not over yet to be discussed. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also highlighted the phenomenon.

When speaking at the close of Business Matching 2024 Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, Luhut highlighted what Singapore could achieve through Taylor Swift's six-day concert.

"Imagine, yesterday, last week, for two weeks we couldn't go to Singapore because Taylor (Swift) showed there, nine days the hotel was full," said Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, launching the YouTube channel of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry.

"Why? Because in Indonesia he can't show," he continued.

Luhut admitted that he had held a meeting to respond to this. He targets to hold an equally large concert in Indonesia in the next six months.

"Then I said yesterday, meeting, basically in the next six months he will get permission, just contract the entertainment players in this field," said the minister.

Even Luhut bravely stated that his party would compete if Singapore also made an offer.

"I said, you are looking for something else, just how long the contract is. What Singapore has given, we give it to him. We must dare to compete," he said.

"If Singapore can make a profit, can't we make a profit? Are we stupid or not. How great people are. But we have to be all united," said Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
