Tracing Part Of Gorillaz's Tracks In A Special Documentary

JAKARTA - Virtual band Gorillaz will broadcast a documentary film that tells about the behind-the-scenes process of making their last two albums. Titled Reject False Icons, this documentary film will only be shown for one day, which is December 16th.

Reject False Icons will feature time lags from the making of the Humanz album released in 2017 and The Now Now (2018) and contain footage of their world tour of the Demon Dayz festival in the UK and the United States. The film was directed by Denholm Hewlett, son of James Hewlett.

Damon Albarn and James as the initiators of Gorillaz wrote a statement regarding the release of this documentary, it reads; "An immersive journey into the world of Gorillaz and the vast family ... including footage that is never shown, when the virtual meets the real world."

This is the first time that Gorillaz has produced a documentary in more than 20 years of his career in the music industry. The virtual concept they offer is unique compared to bands in general.

In this documentary, the Grammy Award-winning band features collaborator musicians on the Gorillaz album, including Vince Staples, Pusha T, DRAM, De La Soul, Jean-Michel Jarre, Jamie Principle, Yasiin Bey, Kelela, Noel Gallagher and more. much more. The documentary film that has been shot for more than three years is a production of Gorillaz Productions, Eleven, Trafalgar Releasing, and Warner Music Production.

Tickets for Reject False Icons will go on sale via the film's official website on November 27. All information regarding the screening including the cinemas that show will also be informed via the site.

Meanwhile, Gorillaz recently launched a Gorillaz figure named 2D. Pre-orders opened since November 14 and sold out in just a few minutes. Damon Albarn also briefly revealed that he had plans to record a new Gorillaz album, but he would first focus on completing the album The Good, The Bad & The Queen, another musical project.
