JAKARTA - Deep Purple created one of the best guitar riffs since the discovery of rock and roll with "Smoke On The Water". A song dubbed "Beethoven's 5th is hard rock."

Since its 1972 debut on the album "Machine Head", the song and album have left an indelible track in music while inspiring many bands around the world.

Warner Records and Rhino Entertainment honor the big legacy of this album with a comprehensive version that introduces new mixings and previously unreleased live recordings.

"Machine Head: Super Deluxe Edition" will be available on March 29 in 3-CD/LP/Blu-ray form.

The collection highlights several different versions of the album, including the new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing by Dweezil Zappa. 1974's quadraphonic mixing-an and a new remaster version of the original album were also featured thereby adding depth to this incredible set.

The new stereo version of Zappa which was remixed from "Smoke On The Water" is now available digitally.

"Super Deluxe Edition" also contains two charming live shows. First, recorded on March 9, 1972, at the Paris Theater in London, featuring an unmatched Deep Purple stage performance during the "Machine Head" tour. Second, recorded in April 1971 at the Montreux Casino in Switzerland.

Deep Purple plans to record "Machine Head" there in December, but the site caught fire just before the session began, an event immortalized in "Smoke On The Water".

After the incident, guitaristUL Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord, vocalist Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice moved to the nearest Grand Hotel (empty for winter) to record the album.

Despite the chaos, the band managed to create the most successful album ever, topped the UK album charts and broke Top 10 in the US, getting double platinum certification in 1986.
