Ahmad Dhani's Clarification About Dewa 19 Concert In Surabaya Which Was Stopped By Bawaslu

JAKARTA - The one-round Gaspoll Prabowo-Gibran concert which presented Dewa 19 as a performer became a conversation after the concert was known to have been dismissed by the General Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

In a video circulating on social media, a man suspected of being Bawaslu officers can be seen stopping the concert held at the East Java Expo Surabaya on Saturday, February 3.

Three days later after the incident, Ahmad Dhani through his Instagram account clarified. There were six points explained regarding the news that said 'Conser Ahmad Dhani Disbanded Bawaslu'.

"The fact is that the concert is Dewa 19," wrote Ahmad Dhani on the first point, Tuesday, February 6.

"The fact is that Dewa 19 was not led by Bawaslu," he continued in the second point.

Continuing his clarification, Ahmad Dhani said that he was not the organizer and was not campaigning for the concert.

"The organizing committee is not Ahmad Dhani," he wrote in the third point.

"Ahmad Dhani did not do an oration," he continued at the fourth point.

In the last two points, Dhani explained that Dewa 19 appeared that night professionally. He also said the concert was only stopped during sunset.

"Dewa 19 is paid professionally (not for campaigns)," reads the fifth point.

"Conser only stops at sunset, after that it continues," he concluded in the sixth point.
