JAKARTA - Toby Keith, one of the best country singers in the 1990s from the United States, died on Monday, February 5 evening local time.

The Should've Been a Cowboy singer who was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on July 8, 1961 died in her hometown in Oklahoma at the age of 62.

Meanwhile, the news of Toby Keith's death was announced through a statement on the official website.

"Toby Keith died peacefully last night, surrounded by his family," the statement read.

He fought back gracefully and bravely. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.

It was not explained how Keith died, and what was the cause. However, he is known to be diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2021. He has received chemotherapy, radiation and surgery for his cancer.

Keith returned to the Creator by leaving his wife,Zunis, and three children.
