JAKARTA - Mike Shinoda remembers how surprised Linkin Park was when they played their first show with System Of A Down.

Shinode sat down with NME. He revealed that the first shows he attended were Anthrax, Public Enemy and Primus.

He added that a group called Young Black Teenagers played a role as an opening support for the show.

People make fun of me because it's like 'it's clear it's the first show you've been to. Basically that's what you're finally doing to make a living.'

He also said that there he was accompanied by his friend and his friend's father and received an Ice T rapper's signature which was also present.

The musician also talked about the first moment that fascinated him. "It was minimal, unlike 'I can't talk, I was completely overwhelmed', it was we played our first show with a newly contracted local band called System Of A Down," he recalled.

"And I thought, 'These guys are really cool and they just signed a big record contract'," he continued.

"We opened their show and I met some people and thought they were the coolest. I think they were a little older than us, but I was very impressed, besides that, they were amazing so of course I was impressed."
