JAKARTA - In celebration of four decades of music, Slank comes with a new album titled Joged which was released last Thursday, December 28.

Joged's album contains nine songs whose lyrics from the songs are Indonesian and also English.

Bimbim said that this album is like a summary of their previous works. Slank wants to show the common thread of Indonesian rock and roll music.

"We really want to summarize Slank's music, which is actually the common thread, which is in the Orkes Sakit Hati, Social Betawi Yoi, I Miss You. Yes, it was combined, trying to find a common thread of rock and roll Indonesia, yes, this is Joged's album," said Bimbim during a press conference at the Jakarta Arts Building, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

"We want to describe it like that. Yes, hopefully, it will be liked by many people," he continued.

The concept that was revealed by Bimbim had actually thought about it before, but for one reason or another, they could not use the concept until it was finally used on Joged's album.

The choice of 'Joged' as the album title is referred to as a form of expression of Slank in seeing the social circumstances of Indonesian society which becomes easier to denounce each other.

Kaka hopes that the songs from this album can make people calmer and relax when dealing with a problem.

"The creative conversation seems like how come this nation is starting to easily insult outside. We have to bring out something that people listen to our songs and don't think about anything, just dance," said Kaka.

For information, nine songs from Joged's album can be heard on various digital music platforms.
