Dwiki Dharmawan Ranks Krakatau Ethno's Journey For 30 Years In The Music Industry

JAKARTA - Dwiki Dharmawan celebrates 30 years of Krakatau Ethno's journey. Starting in 1993, the 57-year-old keyboardist summarized the journey of the jazz ethno band he was fighting against.

Through his Instagram account, Dwiki uploaded several moments when Krakatau Ethno appeared on The Papangdayan, Bandung, West Java.

Krakatau Ethno 30 Tahun (1993-2023) Alhamdulillah Wasyukurillah Sehat Semua," wrote Dwiki Dharmawan in the description of the upload, seen Tuesday, December 19.

Dwiki said that Krakatau Ethno's journey in the music industry was not easy. He mentioned the basis that made the band still able to win the AMI Awards this year, and has toured the five continents.

"It's not easy to continue working in the midst of the dynamic world music industry with strong brotherhood," said Dwiki Dharmawan.

Krakkatau Ethno has explored 5 Continents from the Lincoln Center, Beijing Concert Hall, Toronto Jazz, Montreux Jazz, North Sea Jazz, Sydney Carnivale, Cervantino Fest, Murcia Jazz to MadaJazzCar," he continued.

The keyboardist from Bandung looks bamgga and is grateful for what Krakatau Ethno has achieved. He mentioned a principle held during the 30-year journey of Krakatau Ethno, the Think Locally Act Globally (Thinking locally, acting globally).

"Praise be to be grateful to God Ta'ala God Almighty. Keep the spirit of work, CHINK LOCALLY ACT GLOBALLY," he said.

Meanwhile, the 30-year journey of Krakatau Ethno has given birth to five albums, namely Mystical Mist (1993), Magical Match (2000), Two Worlds (2006), Rhythm of Reform (2006), and Carita Sabsarad (2023).

At the 2023 AMI Awards which took place last November, Krakatau Ethno brought home the trophy by winning in the World Music Production Work Category.
