JAKARTA - Formed since 1984, Sepultura will celebrate 40 years of work next year.
The Brazilian thrash/groove metal band has been a major influence on the development of world metal music.
Through an official Instagram account, Sepultura announced that their world tour will be their separation from fans.
The tour will be carried out over the next 18 months.
"Sepultura has reached the end of the road and chose to leave through conscious and planned deaths," wrote Sepultura in a description of Instagram uploads, seen on Sunday, December 10.
"Over the next 18 months we will celebrate our 40 years of existence together with our loyal fans on the farewell tour around the world," he continued.
This world tour is called the band consisting of Derrick Green (vocals), Paulo Jr (bass), Andreas Kisser (guitar), and Eloy Casagrande (drums) as celebrations of the past and the present for the last time.
During their work, Sepultura visited 80 countries with various cultures. They promised to involve all fans to be part of the last world tour.
"During this 40th anniversary tour, we will record 40 live songs in 40 different cities and release a massive compilation of our best and most energetic moments on stage," Sepultura said.

So far, Sepultura has announced their tour schedules in Brazil, Latin America, and Europe.
Tours in Brazil started from Belo Horizonte on March 1, 2024 to Florian Badminton on March 23, 2024. However, they will return to appear in Sao Paulo on September 6, 2024.
Then, the Latin American tour started with San Jose, Costa Rica on April 13, 2024, and ended on Montevideo, Uruguay on April 22.
Furthermore, the European tour will start from Paris, France on October 30, 2024, and ends in Prague, Czech Republic on November 23, 2024.
