Neida Invites Her Close Friends To Collaborate In Waiting For Calm

JAKARTA - Neida Aleida presents her latest work "Waiting Calm" after releasing "Asulo" two months ago, the song involves her close friend, Ilham Aditama who is also a colleague in the HiVi music group!.

"Waiting Calm" is still one-dimensional with "Asuuto" and tells the story of the process of growing up, where we will get to know the world's bads and learn from the mistakes and diverse human characters," Neida said, telling the beginning of the creation of his new work, quoted by Antara, Friday.

Neida said that the song "Waiting for calm" had actually been done since 2021 and was created in the form of a demonstration, even so the construction had stopped.

But finally in 2023, he remembered and had the opportunity to return to finalize the song.

To cultivate 'Waiting Calm', Neida entrusted it to a collaborator who was different from the previous songs.

His choice fell on Lafa Pratomo, a trusted producer who has worked with many other famous singers such as Danilla and Nadin Amizah, indie rock bands such as Polka Wars and Grrrl Gang, and even a legend like Iwan Fals.

"I've had an interest in the nuances of music made by Lafa for a long time, and I think the demo I made will be suitable when cooked by him," said Neida explaining the reason for choosing Lafa.

Apart from Lafa, Ilham's presence in this work perfected the Waiting for calm' as a release between the two musical worlds of Neida.

As his partner since 2016 at HiVi!, Ilham is considered by Neida to be suitable to be able to polish and make the song "Waiting for calm" perfect.

"Because we grew up together, this story is also related to him. I'm currently in HIVI! because Ilham, and seeing ups and downs of life with him for several years, is really meaningful. So this song is for him," said Neida.

Meanwhile, Ilham also commented on his involvement in supporting Neida in this song. According to him, this song illustrates that in a life there are things that need to be left out to get the best.

"There are also many things that are difficult to leave behind, even though we know it's for the best. In the end, the main goal in life is to find peace according to our respective versions," said Ilham.

Neida's "Waiting for calm" with Ilham Aditama can be enjoyed on various digital streaming platforms in Indonesia. Later there will be a music video for this song that can be enjoyed starting December 10, 2023 on Neida's YouTube.
