Approaching Production, BMW IX3 Patent Image Leaks

JAKARTA - Some time ago, BMW was known to be testing the latest iX3 model as its future electric vehicle. It is known that this compact SUV-shaped car will be built based on the Neue Classe concept.

Launching from Autoweek, Tuesday, November 19, images of the model's patent were leaked to social media showing a production version of iX3 before its official launch.

The image shows a concept similar to Vision Neue Classe X which was presented last March. It is known that this car has a thicker B pillar with a more traditional rearview mirror with a more formidable design.

Unlike the petrol version of X3, iX3 will be equipped with a smaller version of vertical kidney grip than the one on the current BMW model. BMW also retains pillar D design elements with the Hoffmeister Kink element typical of the SUV.

Moving to the back, there is a horizontally wide lighting similar to Vision Neue Classe X. Then, the manufacturer also maintains the roof of the three-quarter glass panorama on iX3 which comes from the concept.

Supported by the advanced Neue Classe architecture, the model will use the 800V system with an estimated distance of 600 km and 800 km with offered on two-wheel drive options and all wheels.

Some time ago, the car, which is mentioned in the internal code NA5 Project', was caught on camera trying to have an elongated overhang design, resulting in greater storage space in the rear seat with a more spacious cabin area.

Even though it is covered by a hidden sticker, the design of the car is clearly visible with the KINK Hofmeister on the back window, and the kidney-shaped grip adorns the front. Not only the outside, but the interior is also caught on camera.

Although it looks vague, the dashboard of this vehicle looks like the concept model, which features a more futuristic design with augmented reality graphics on the glass replacing conventional instruments.
