Zakk Wylde Will Continue To Play With Pantera?

JAKARTA - During the "Metalmania III" Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp question session this month in Los Angeles, Zakk Wylde was asked about his plans to continue playing with Pantera permanently.

"Yes. I told them [vocalist Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown] whenever... as long as they want to do it. I don't know why you want to end it, because all you [do is] go there and celebrate friends," Zakk started.

"I think it's a beautiful thing and I can get together with my friends," continued the guitarist.

Zakk, who is close friends with the late Pantera guitarist "Dimebag"ung Abbott, was also asked about his relationship with Dimebag's brother, the late drummer of Pantera Vincent "Vinnie Paul" Abbott.

"Oh, my luck is great too... With Dime and My partner, every night is Friday night or Saturday night. Because it's not Sunday. And even if it's Sunday, it's Sunday Night Football. You know what I mean? Every night is Friday night, friend. I mean, that's it."

"I always say, if you [go out with] Dime and fire, there's no time for depression. If you're disappointed, it's like, 'Zakk, call friends. We're going to have a party.' You could be depressed or you could love life and cheer as much as possible."

"They're always having fun. Dime will go into the room if someone may become depressed, [and] he will only light up the room. It's the same with my friend."

The revived clerk features the band members who are still alive, Anselmo and Brown, alongside Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax) being headlined in a number of major festivals in North America, South America, and Europe as well as holding several of their own main concerts.

They also supported Metallicaa on a massive stadium tour in 2023 and 2024.
