JAKARTA - Former Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg underwent surgery to repair his left hip and cut off his defective thighbone.

The drummer shared the latest news accompanied by a photo of himself wearing a crew, two weeks after he was unexpectedly fired from Slipknot.

"This Tuesday, after three years of careful planning, I went through outpatient procedures to repair my torn left hip labrum and cut off my deformed thighbone a condition that never affected my drum game in any way, but I wanted to take care of my free time from my record and tour schedule," he wrote.

Since 2020, my priority is so that my game is not disrupted until the schedule window allows me to complete the expected recovery by about four months. In May, the schedule begins to show that this window will happen now," he continued.

Weinberg split with Slipknot after less than a decade in the Iowan numerical band. The remaining members said it was a creative decision'.
