JAKARTA - When appearing in the episode of Sirius XM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" last Wednesday, Sammymen discussed the upcoming summer tour with bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, and drummer Jason Bonham who will mostly focus on Van Halen's songs.
This tour titled "The Best Of All Worlds" will be supported by Loverboy.
The 2024 tour also comes more than two years after Satriani revealed she was approached to participate in Van Halen's tribute concert with David Lee Roth and Alex Van Halen.
The project never worked, reportedly because Roth "delayed" for everything to be approved.
Asked by "Trunk Nation" host Eddie Trunk whether any efforts were made to invite Alex (Van Halen) to take part in "The Best Of All Worlds" before involving Bonham, said Sammy.
"One hundred percent. Jason said, 'I'm not going to say yes to do this until at least Alex says yes or no'. Alex hasn't replied to my phone for five years. I've been calling, I left a message, I left an SMS, I left an e-mail," explained Sammy.

"I don't think Al really wants to go on tour; otherwise, they will definitely do it with Joe when they think about this concert [in 2021]," he continued.
