JAKARTA - British singer and composer Morrissey canceled his concert in Singapore which was supposed to be held at The Star Theater on Thursday, November 9.

The news of the cancellation of the Morrissey concert was announced through the official ticketmaster ticket sales website.

"The causes of technical issues and reasons that are beyond our control, we deeply regret to announce that the Morrissey: 40 Years of Morrissey concert in Singapore on November 9, 2023 at The Star Theater will not be held," reads the announcement at Ticketmaster, seen Tuesday, November 7th.

The Morrissey concert in Singapore was supposed to be the start of the 40 Years Of Morrissey tour in Asia, but unfortunately the concert was canceled.

Meanwhile, regarding Morrissey's concert in other Asian countries, including in Indonesia on November 22, it is still stated that it is still running according to a predetermined schedule.

However, according to The Straits Times, Morrissey has many stories about the cancellation and postponement of concerts.

The Morrissey concert in Nottingham, England last July was said to have been postponed due to unexpected circumstances. Then, concerts in the United States in September had to be postponed because the singer contracted dengue fever.

Not only that, but Morrissey's concert in Singapore in 2016 was also postponed. Scheduled to appear on October 15, 2016, concerts were postponed to October 17, 2016 in the final minutes.

For information, Morrissey in 2014 revealed that he was undergoing treatment for cancer. However, he is still routinely on annual tours and performances.
