Kate Bush Not Present At The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inauguration

JAKARTA - Kate Bush thanked the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her inauguration on Friday local time. However, he did not attend the event.

There is speculation whether the iconic singer, who very rarely appears in public, will appear at his inauguration ceremony.

Instead, he expressed his honor to be included in the batch inaugurated this year in a letter published on his own website.

"I'm really blown away by this great honor an award that is at the heart of the American music industry," he said.

"Thank you very much to everyone who voted for me. I never imagined I would be given this extraordinary award."

Last year was a very successful time for my song Running Up That Hill and I'm sure many of you have chosen me to join RRHOF as well as pushing the song onto the charts. Thank you!"

The song, which was originally released on the 1985 SOUNDs of Love album, jumped to the top of the UK Singles Chart in 2022 after appearing prominent in the fourth season of Stranger Things.

She became the oldest female artist, at the age of 63, who reached the top of the charts, and also broke the record for the longest distance between Number One, reaching the top position 44 years after Wuthering Heights.
