JAKARTA - Famous faces including Dua Lipa, Michael Stipe and Cate Blanchett signed an open letter, urging President Joe Biden to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The letter called for the end of bombings in Gaza and the release of hostages safely, as well as the stipulation of safe routes to Palestine to distribute humanitarian aid.

So far, dozens of well-known names from various entertainment worlds have been signed.

The names that supported the ceasefire included pop star Dua Lipa, Michael Stipe of RUM, Killer Mike, and Caroline Polachek. Others from the music industry include Macklemore, Kaytranada,ene Hynes, Vic Mensa, Tommy Genesis, Miguel, Aminé, and A$AP Nast.

"We ask, as President of the United States, you and the US Congress to call for immediate deescalation and a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before any more casualties," the letter reads (via Pitchfork).
