Budi Doremi's Confession Has Performed The Song Listen To Pintaku Since 2018

JAKARTA - Budi Doremi's song, Listen to Pintaku, which was sung by Caitlin Halderman and released on October 13, was accused of being the result of plagiarism.

Budi Doremi is accused of plagiarizing a song called Impossible created by Keleham alias Farham Zamzam, a musician from Samarinda, in 2021.

Through a highlight on his official Instagram account, Budi Doremi displayed a live video of himself singing the song Listen to Pintaku. It was said that the song was played to the public in 2018.

The song PINTAKU LISTENs to has been brought by @bud0remi at IG LIVE in 2018. I and many Budi's friends watched this," reads the video description uploaded by Budi Doremi, Thursday, October 19.

Budi Doremi also uploaded several videos of people who had covered the song Listen to Pintaku.

For information, Budi Doremi in an open letter also wants to prove the truth of the accusations against him. He asked, if it was true that he plagiarized the original song owner to claim his copyright.

"For other parties who claim to have and feel entitled to the song, I am open to receiving information and EVIDENCE within a deadline of 1 x 24 (one time twenty-four) hours since I submit this Open Letter," reads Budi Doremi's open letter.

Furthermore, Budi Doremi stated that he was ready to take legal steps that were deemed necessary to maintain his rights as songwriters. Listen to Pintaku.

"After the deadline, if there are claims without valid evidence or let alone publish this song (before the release date of the song Caitlin above) without my permission, I will not hesitate to take legal steps in accordance with applicable regulations," concluded Budi Doremi.
