Ariel Reveals Reasons For Changing Peterpan's Name To NOAH

JAKARTA - Before using NOAH as the band name, Ariel cs debuted in the national music industry with a band called Peterpan in 2000.

Ariel also explained the reason for the name change. According to him, the name Peterpan is not his and other personnel.

"According to me personally, the name Peterpan is not ours," Ariel said when he was a guest on the YouTube channel Ferdy ELEMENT, seen on Saturday, October 14.

As many people know, Ariel said, Peterpan was already owned by Walt Disney, long before he used it as a band name.

The man with the full name Nazril Irham sees the selection of Peterpan as a band name as not something original.

"We don't have the right to say Peterpan belongs to us. Because it's not original from us," said Ariel.

"The Peterpan belongs to Walt Disney. The only person who has the right to say'my Peterpan', yes Walt Disney," he continued.

Furthermore, Ariel is grateful that when the Peterpan name is used, the internet is not as massive as it is now, so people from abroad don't know much about it.

According to Ariel, it is not impossible that Peterpan as a band at that time had to deal with the law.

"Untung belum zaman internet. Lu kebayang nggak kalau seperti pada tahun 2005 sudah zaman internet," kata Ariel.

"If it is, now, I'm not sure, it could be that we are being sued. You use the name Peterpan, that's my character," said Disney, right," he added.

For information, Peter Pan is an animated film produced by Walt Disney and has been shown to the theater by Buena Vista Pictures on February 5, 1953.
