M Bloc Fest 2023 will be held for three weeks, from September 23 to October 15 at M Bloc Space, South Jakarta.
This annual creative industry festival has three main agendas, namely M Bloc Design Week 2023 (23 September - 8 October), the XNation pop culture festival (11 - 15 October) and the M Bloc Music Fest music festival (14 - 15 October 2023).
Ardy Siji, CEO of M Bloc Entertainment as the organizer, said that M Bloc Fest is The Next Big Thing Festival (Festival for big things in the future).
We call M Bloc Fest the Next Big Thing Festival. Last year there was music, design and literacy. This year it is even more interesting with the new IP (intellectic property). We will meet with local creators who we believe will be global later," said Ardy Siji at a press conference at M Bloc Space, South Jakarta on Tuesday, October 3.
For M Bloc Design Week, Yacobus Gatot S, Program Director & Curator said that a cross-design disciplinary exhibition will be held starting from architecture, fashion, graphic design, product design and photography.
More than 80 collaborators/studio participated in showing off their work and design products with the theme Daur Rupa at the Mini Gallery Museum of Peruri and Creative Hall, M Bloc Space.
"Through M Bloc Design Week, we want to emphasize that M Bloc can be a creative point for Indonesian artists and connoisseurs. Hopefully, one day M Bloc Design Week can become an icon of creative festivals in Jakarta and Indonesia," said Yacobus Gatot S.
Then, Xnation will be held as a pop culture festival involving 100 percent of local creators in the national creative industry.
