Corey Taylor Calls Tours 'Strengthen Work' Slipknot

JAKARTA - Corey Taylor once again discussed the physical demand for a tour with Slipknot, saying it was a "hard work".

The vocalist, who will turn 50 in December, said during the summer that he thought he might have five more years to tour this level with the masked band.

Taylor explained he would continue to perform live as long as [he] was able to do it physically, but said he would "help [ Slipknot] find someone" to take over if he decided to retire from the tour.

Now, in a new interview with Rock Feed, the vocalist talks further about how long Slipknot thinks he can last, and how his various physical illnesses can affect his work in a live atmosphere.

"I've said that physically I might have five more years, but at the same time, I'm trying hard to really take care of myself," he told Rock feed.

"Now I have a lot of distance. It's hard for me. People don't realize this, but when I walk, I almost always feel pain. That's his knee, that's my leg. I had a broken leg on this leg. I suffered from uric acid in my leg. It went up to the joints," he continued.

"Yes, it's difficult. I'm not as agile as I used to be. I'm not 35 years away. It's difficult, but now there's a way to do a show that doesn't need to be too crazy.

Taylor then explains how tur doesn't have a health impact', and adds that it causes you to 'eat carelessly' and'sleep irregularly'. And nine out of 10, you'll be playing badly, he said. We don't want that. So it's difficult.

The musician continued: Even for men at my level, they don't always get arranged catering and the best food and the best people. Sometimes it's a wet sandwich at 12.30 am, and you see it saying, 'If I put this in my body, I'll vomit'.

People don't understand that. You know why they think that way? That's because what they see on Instagram, on TikTok, here and there, and you see the ads. There were times when we went off stage, went straight to the airport, flew out. We didn't sleep until seven the next day. And now we are all [exhausted].

"It's even worse for us, because they have to go in, make sure everything is fine, then they can take a nap. So it's not always good, guys. It's hard work. Even at our level, it's hard work."
