Asked About The Transgender Fan Base, This Is Nick Cave's Answer

JAKARTA - Australia's senior musician, Nick Cave, responded to questions about trans members from its fan base.

In an entry on the Red Hand Files website, the rock band frontman Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds was asked by a fan named Amelia: How do you feel about transgender fans or transgender people in general? As a young trans woman, I have a gender-related experience that is both positive and negative with other fans of your work and want to know where you stand in various ways.

After discussing other questions in the entry of Enneagram type (personal tests), Cave said he believed he had "a strange fatherhood career towards my audience, raging".

Taking his attention to trans fans, he then added: "I also have another push, which I hope is more common, and it is treating everyone with the same love and respect, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion or anything else."

"I basically see the world as a collection of individuals, each unique in its destruction, which in essence has the same binding spirit.

"So, Amelia, although I'm a little unsure where I have to stand on things like that, or more precisely why I have to stand anywhere, I'm going to say this - I love my trans fans completely and wish them all the best, as much as I love all my fans and wish them all the best.

"I feel for them the same caring task as I feel for everyone in my environment.

He added: I also hope that they accept every right that is attached to them and that they live a dignified and free life, without violence and prejudice. I hope these things are as I want for everyone.

As a musician, it is a privilege to stand on stage and witness a crowd of individuals who have lost their common and inclusive vitality offered by music; to observe people surpassing themselves, united by built-in spiritual similarities buried under identity conditions.

"It's touching to witness and fully understand that we are unique to each of us uniquely in our respective individuals, but under the influence of greater power, we become one. It is a gift and a great revelation from music.
