JAKARTA - Cannibal Corpse's new song entitled Summoned For Sacrifice began its online debut this Wednesday.

The song was taken from the studio album of the sixteen veteran death metal, Chaos Horrific, which will be released on September 22 via Metal Blade Records.

Since 1988, Cannibal Corpse have been at the forefront of death metal, forming and defining the genre. In 2021, Cannibal Corpse raised their class with Violence Unimagined.

And this year, right on their 35th anniversary, they are back with Chaos Horrific who are no less creepy and start a new chapter in their story heritage.

Written shortly after Unimagined's Violence session ended, the echo of the album was in Chaos Horrific.

"For me, this album feels like a continuation of Violence Unmagined," bassist Alex Webster was quoted as saying by Blabbermoouth.

Cannibal Corpse members are known for their technicalities and complicated songwriting, but it doesn't determine where the writing process takes them.

"I believe that our songwriting has evolved in such a way that every song opens its own path, whether it's a straightforward or technical song," notes guitarist Rob Barrett.

"Sometimes it's a mixture of the two, so there's no previous idea that we want to be more technical. The music is taking its own path."
