Greenhouse Effect Prepares Rimpang Concert In July 2023

JAKARTA - The Greenhouse Effect (ERK) will present all the materials on their latest album, Rimpang, for the first time live at the Tennis Indoor Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday, July 27.

ERK will play a long set with a minimum duration of 150 minutes of the entire song on the Rimpang album with additional old materials.

Rimpang is the fourth full album of the music group consisting of Cholil Mahmud (vocals), Poppie Airil (bass), Akbar Bagus Sudibyo (drums), and Reza Ryan (guitar). Released on January 27, 2023, this album contains 10 songs that are worked on with a more complex but fresh approach.

Meanwhile, Plainsong Live is a promoter from Jakarta who is widely known for its fun festival, the Joyland Festival.

"Plainsong Live is a group of people who are the same as many music fans in Indonesia, who love greenhouse effects with unnatural levels. So, when there is an opportunity to hold a 'Rimpang' show, we will immediately make it," said Ferry Darmawan from Plainsong Live.

Ferry added that the Rimpang show was a concert created by a group of fans for many other fans. His party did not carry out a massive promotion in the first sale.

"It's enough via social media, but it was greeted by the public with great enthusiasm. As of June 1, 2023, we have sold 60 percent of tickets from the available capacity. Several ticket classes have even sold out," he added.

In the live performance later, this band has a number of additional musicians who have played together for the last few years, namely Agustinus Panji Mahardika, Cempaka Surakusumah, Gracia Andrea, Irma Hidayana, Muhammad Asranur, and Nastasha Abigail.

The "Rimpang" show will be the first opportunity for ERK to play the material of the album. This also means being an exclusive experience for viewers to watch it full for the first time.

The upcoming concert is planned to accommodate spectators in a room with a capacity of 4,000 people. The prospective audience now only has to choose the Festival type class (Rp 388,000,-), Tribune B (Rp 358,000,-), Tribune C (Rp 298,000,-). Other classes have been sold out and are no longer available.
