JAKARTA - Blur announced the details of a surprising new album, The Ballad Of Darren and shared the first single of The Narcissist.

The Britpop legend announced their comeback in November with news of a major show at Wembley Stadium - before revealing a second date at the venue.

They then ran European festival shows and an intimate British warm-up tour, starting in their hometown in Colchester this Friday.

Now, Blur reveals that 10 songs of The Ballad Of Darren will arrive on July 21 via Parlophone.

The band's first album since The Magic Whip in 2015 opened with the single The Narcissist - a song with a medium tempo reminiscent of its 2003 alt-rock trend, Think Tank.

Launching NME, Friday, the ninth album of Blur was produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Depeche Mode) and recorded at Studio 13 in London andipelago.

Frontman Damon Albarn described The Ballad Of Darren as a "sustainable threat" full of "reflections and comments about where we find ourselves now".

While guitarist Graham Coxon said: "The older we get and the more angry we are, the more important we are that what we play is full of emotions and proper intentions. Sometimes only the riffs don't work.

As for bassist Alex James said that "for any long-term relationship that persists with any meaning, you must be able to surprise each other somehow and somehow we all continue to do it".

Dan drummer Dave Rowntree berkomentar tentang bagaimana band menemukan hal-hal tadi.Selalu terasa terasa sangat dalam untuk membuat musik bersama.

"With every recording we do, the process reveals something new and we develop as a band. We don't just accept it," he added.
