JAKARTA - Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich supports the Pantera reunion.

Currently, two surviving Pantera personnel; Philip Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) are on tour with the support of guitarist Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and drummer Charlie Benante (Antharax).

Anselmo and Brown, along with Wylde and Benante, became the main performers of a number of major festivals in South America, Asia, North America, and Europe and held several of their own main concerts.

They will also support Metallica on a massive stadium tour in North America by 2023 and 2024.

Ulrich discussed his views on Pantera's comeback in an interview with Revolver.

"I think the idea that they celebrate Pantera music and magic is... I know there's a lot of talk in the community about whether people support it or not. But I'm the type of person, if Glenn Hughes wants to come out and play the Deep Purple set, I'll support him," explained Lars Ulrich.

"I always support people who follow their musical and creative ambitions; so I think the Pantera reunion is good," he added.

"And obviously, having Charlie there is really cool. I saw a video of one of their shows in Mexico that felt like Pantera was real. It would be nice to take them out there."
