Radja Gets Death Threats After Appearing In Malaysia, This Is Ian Kasela's Explanation

JAKARTA - One of Indonesia's famous bands, Radja, expressed his disappointment after appearing at the Larkin Arena Indoor Stadium, Johor Bahru, Malaysia on Saturday.

Radja's success in entertaining the audience was not rewarded with a thank you. Instead, they received death threats. This was revealed by Ian Kasela (vocals) in the video received by the editor.

"Yesterday we succeeded, succeeded, went smoothly, and had a very successful concert in Johor Majestic Tourism Johor Country in Malaysia," said Ian Kasela.

"There's only one thing that we are very disappointed with about Tourism Johor. Because it's not thanks that we got after the event was successful, after they were entertained, after we performed our best, but instead insults, insults, even the threat of murder against us. And worse, the organizers seemed to let go of what we experienced," he continued.

It didn't stop there, Ian Kasela added, they were scared because they were detained in a locked room which seemed planned. The confinement was accompanied by several intimidating bodyguards.

"We can't do anything. We are experiencing tremendous fear," said Ian.

After successfully leaving the room, they immediately reported it to the Johor police. Then, they immediately flew to Jakarta.

"Based on a friend who lives in Kuala Lumpur, he is directed to make a police report in Johor at five am."

In closing, Ian expressed his hopes to the Indonesian government.

"We hope that the Indonesian government will support this case," concluded Ian.

Johor police have responded to reports about this case on March 12, Sunday morning. Johor Police Chief, Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said that his party had now gathered information from the victim and had acted to hunt down the suspect.

"The police have recorded the conversations of all the victims and tracked down the suspects involved. The Johor police are taking this matter seriously and will not tolerate any actions involving criminal behavior and public order issues," he said, quoted from Malaysian media, Astroawani.
