JAKARTA - Musicians who are members of the Greenhouse and Iron Pandai Effects group, Airil Nur Centurysyah, think that the development of the sophistication of artificial intelligence (AI) technology that has penetrated various sectors including the entertainment industry has not been able to produce works that are aware of value and are stimulated.

According to these bass players, there is a mass consensus that AI technology has no soul and taste, so it is the opposite of humans. This condition is a guide considering that "human" works still have advantages and awareness of values.

"Maybe AI can't go there yet, although it could happen some time later because technological developments are 'crazy'. It's not impossible that one day there will be a taste injection for AI, not only adaptive or imitating," said the man who is familiarly called Poppie Airil, as reported by Antara.

In addition, Poppie continued, artificial intelligence has not been able to mimic or produce the progression of human inactivity in the arts process that makes a work more "human" and is sparked.

"In my opinion, what can be filtered is the connoisseurs themselves with the boundaries of taste and value. Whether this AI is a threat or not to artists, I think it is still in a gray area because at this time it is still not directly intersecting. Usually, when there is direct attention, then there is a reaction," said Poppie.

He also acknowledged that technological advances always have positive and negative elements. According to him, the process of creating instant and easy music works offered by technology can have a short age or vice versa, aka very biased.

"For example, an algorithm. It is very good and can help facilitate exploration. AI can help speed up the process. So it depends on the goal too. It cannot be seen because of the only lucky factor because it really depends on how artists manage the masses and have a strategy to maintain their work," he said.

However, Poppie, who also has a musical solo project called Bing Swimming, thinks that the development of AI can be very massive in the next few years like what has been shown in sci-fi films in the '70s era.

"The prediction of the golden age era at that time was in fine arts, music, and films, now it's really happening. For art workers right now, AI's progress can be considered scary too," he concluded with a laugh.
