JAKARTA - Alater Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti commented on the departure of Eddie Van Halen and Jeff Beck.

While appearing on the "The Mistress Carrie Podcast", Tremonti gave his opinion on the two iconic guitarists who had a lot of influence on many guitarists including him.

"This is crazy. Eddie Van Halen could be the most famous guitar player of all time, in my opinion, one of the most recognizable players. He's a game changer," Tremonti said.

"I remember exactly when I heard the news of [ Eddie's death]," he continued. "It's like you remember when you turned on the news and you heard about 9/11; you know exactly where you are. The same thing was when I heard about Eddie's death."

"Jeff Beck, he's irreplaceable. I've never heard anyone say, 'Yes, he sounds like Jeff Beck.' Nobody says that. He's one of the most emotional players ever."

Meanwhile, Alter Bridge released their seventh album, Pawns & Kings, last October through Napalm Records.

The follow-up to Walk The Sky (2019) was recorded at Barbarosa Studio in Gotha, Florida with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who previously worked with Sevendust, Mammmoth WVH, and Slash.

Tremonti himself recently partnered with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to release Frank

The full album, which contains selected songs from Frank way, was released in May 2022 as part of a charity initiative created by Tremonti, named Take A Chance For Charity.

The sale of this album was fully handed over to support NDSS and the work they did to advocate and support down syndrome sufferers and their families.
