JAKARTA - Mick Mars is working on a new project. According to country-rocker singer Cory Marks, who spent time with guitarist Motley Crue last weekend, Mick Mars' upcoming project is so cool.

In October last year, Mick announced he would no longer be on tour with Motley Crue due to his long struggles with degenerate ankylosing spondylitis.

Mick is still a secure guitarist for Motley Crue and is still taking part when the band returns to the studio to record new material. Now, he's working on a solo album.

Meanwhile, on February 5, Cory via his Instagram shared several short photos and videos of himself with Mars at Mick's home studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Finishing on Saturday I was with one of the busiest, sweetest, kindest guy on the planet I could have called a friend," Cory said in the photo message.

"So many stories and laughter talk about music, weapons, planes, guitar, drums, travel, touring stories (she has cooler than me), health, fitness, zombies, sex, drugs, and rock and roll!

"Now I know more about @motleycrue @slash @theollingstones @defleppard and @ozzyosbourne."

Mick is a special guest in the song Cory, Outlaws & Outsiders, which was released in November 2019. The song also includes performances from Travis Tritt and Five Finger Death band vocalist Ivan Moody.

"@mr.mickmars THANK you for inviting me and letting me hear your new project... which sounds cool. The rock world is going through something weird, special, great, and HARD. It's real walking into your studio and the first thing I've seen is the gold recording on top of a group of @marshallamps stacked together with my face and name on it and I'll send you some more immediately. Don't be surprised if you guys see Mars & Marks on more songs together... Outlaws And Outsiders forever."
