JAKARTA - Lokananta's revitalization and development plan continues to show progress. The Ministry of SOEs has involved Holding Danareksa through PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (PPA) to revive the first recording studio in Indonesia.

Lokananta is the Nol point' in the Indonesian music industry, which was founded in 1956. In the future, Lokananta will become a creative & commercial hub for musicians, artists, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as become an educational tourist destination for the community.

PPA President Director Yadi Jaya Ruchandi said the Ministry of SOEs, the SOE ecosystem, together with the Surakarta City Government supports the revitalization of Lokananta to become a creative & commercial hub for local musicians, artists, and MSMEs, so that it can have a social impact, economic growth, and preservation of Indonesian culture.

"PPA received a mandate from the Minister of SOEs to revitalize and develop Lokananta which is an asset belonging to Perum PNRI. PPA collaborated with PT Indah Karya (Persero) as a consultant for construction management, PP Urban contractor, architect of Andramatin, and M Bloc Group as operators in the implementation of revitalization and development of Lokananta assets," Yadi said in his statement, Monday, November 28.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Danareksa (Persero) Arisudono Soerono said, in accordance with the spirit of transformation of SOEs that have been carried out in the 3 years of leadership of SOE Minister Erick Thohir, BUMN Holding Danareksa is committed to supporting the transformation of Lokananta for the progress of the creative industry, one of which is the national music industry.

Arisudono added that PPA as a pillar of restructuring at the Danareksa BUMN Holding has carried out the preparation stages to ensure the revitalization and development of Lokananta can run well and continue to prioritize good governance.

"We hope that Lokananta will become one of the art tourism destinations that can have a positive impact on the economy of Surakarta City, especially local musicians and MSMEs, as well as the surrounding community," said Arisudono.

On the same occasion, President Director of M Bloc Group Handoko Hendroyono appreciated the trust given by PPA and Holding BUMN Danareksa to M Bloc to operate the Lokananta. Lokananta will be prepared to become a creative & commercial hub that brings together the music ecosystem, local MSMEs, and the community through various activities, performances, arts and culinary tours.

"M Bloc as the operator will hold various events such as music performances, talk shows, podcasts, and various other activities in Lokananta," said Handoko.

Lokananta will have five business pillars. Among them, amphitheater performance areas and record studio Lokananta Record, museum & archival, merchandise and intellectual property management (intellectic property), UMKM gallery, as well as culinary centers.

"These five business pillars are expected to make Lokananta a creative & commercial hub that provides space for creativity for musicians, provides a music performance stage, and becomes a storefront for local MSMEs to market their products," said Yadi.

For information, the revitalization and development of Lokananta is one of the Surakarta City Government Priority Programs.

"After the pre-reactivation of Lokananta Reload, the grand launching of Lokananta is planned to be held at the beginning of the second quarter of 2023," concluded Yadi.
