JAKARTA - The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) will take place at the Prudential Center, New Jersey today. A number of winners have also been read out from this year's video, this year's song and the best artist.

In addition to the awards, host Nicki Minaj had the honor of the show with the Video Vanguard Award, while the Global Icon Award was awarded to the Red Hot Chili dresss.

Johnny Depp made a surprise by appearing at the event wearing the mascot outfit of MTV, an astronaut. This is the actor's first appearance since the defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
