JAKARTA - Closing the year 2019, the pop duo from Jakarta Granialicks released their first single and short album (EP) entitled Anything For You in digital format. With simple lyrics, it is undeniable that this song is so easy to digest.
"The work in our first short album is entirely about him and them," said Dicky Nuari (vocals, guitar), in a written statement received by VOI.
All songs in this EP were written by Dicky and co-produced with Yogo Wicaksono (drums). Contains five songs consisting of one song in English lyrics and four songs with Indonesian lyrics, the titles include; In a moment, I want to see your smile, I'm sorry, dreams, and of course Anything For You.
The album recording process took place at Awan Garnida's Lontar Studio, personnel of the band SORE. The filling of the bass instrument was assisted by Hanafi Imamusu, personnel from the band Orchest Stamboel and Umayyah to provide background vocals. Then keyboards, mixing and mastering were worked on by Edwood, a former 7 Dwarf personnel.
Apart from that, Rizky Kamil, a relative of Granialicks from the Indonesian Art Institute in Yogyakarta, helped the cover artwork for the album.
For your information. Granialicks was formed in early 2019 and chose pop music as the identity of its work. With a clean guitar sound and a little reverb and chorus, their songs are very distinctive.
Granialicks has two meanings, namely 'grania' in celtic which means 'love', and licks is a term among guitarists for a series of notes that form musical motifs in a composition.
"By choosing the name Granialicks, we wanted to make music that sounded sweet with pop music and also easy listening to be easily accepted by all people," concluded Dicky.
