JAKARTA - Suzuki has reiterated its commitment to environmentally friendly vehicles by introducing the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel. This is the latest version of a sports motorbike capable of running on bioethenol fuel.

This motorbike will officially be introduced at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and immediately steal the attention of two-wheeled lovers. Gixxer, not a new face in the Indian market, but is now present in the Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) version. Where, fuel consumption can use a mixture of fuel up to E85, namely 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. Suzuki's move is in line with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and depend on fossil fuels.

In order for the engine to continue to work optimally, Suzuki made a number of adjustments to injectors, fuel pumps, and ECUs. In addition, plastic and rubber components are also developed to be resistant to the corrosive effects of ethanol.

Interestingly, even though it uses a high Ethanol mixture of fuel, its performance remains identical to the pure gasoline version. Suzuki claims the maximum power reaches 26 bhp at 9,300 rpm, with no significant difference compared to the Gixxer SF 250 standard.

"There is no visible difference between Flex Fuel's version and the conventional version," Suzuki's representative said in a statement, as quoted from Visordown, Friday, October 17.

Although Suzuki has not announced the selling price or expansion plan to the Southeast Asian market, this step is a strong signal that the Japanese manufacturer is ready to face a new era of sustainable motorized vehicles.
