Honda Pamer CB500SF, Retro 4 Cylinder Motorcycle That Awakens Nostalgia Racing AMA

JAKARTA - Honda made a breakthrough at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMA) by introducing its newest retro middleweight motorbike, CB500SF (Super Four). This four-cylinder roadster motorcycle combines classic charm with modern technology that is ready to seduce motorcycle lovers.

Citing the MCN page, Monday, September 29, CB500SF was born from the inspiration of the golden era of the AMA Superbike late 1970s to early 1980s, especially from the legendary models CB750F and CB900F. The iconic silver-blue livery was directly reminiscent of the racing bike that Freddie Spencer used to ride. The classic touch was even more felt with the 1974 CB400/4-inspired transversal exhaust pipe.

Behind its retro appearance, this bike brings a new performance that spurs adrenaline. Its heart is a four-cylinder engine with a complete 502 cc engine that is new and capable of generating up to 80 bhp of energy which is a promising figure for the middle class. This machine is combined with Honda's E-Clutch electronic coupling system which makes it easier for motorists to change teeth.

Interestingly, the CB500SF style seems to be in line with the CB1000F concept motorcycle which was exhibited at the Shuka 8 Hours event last August. This signals the direction of the retro-modern design which is likely to become Honda's new identity in the roadster segment.

Although there has been no official confirmation about the global launch, the presence of CB500SF is believed to receive a warm welcome, especially from retro motorcycle fans who want a four-cylinder powered engine in the middle class. This motorbike is not just nostalgia, but also a bridge between the past and the future of the world of sports motorcycles.
