JAKARTA - Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, KTM officially presents a high-performance motorcycle called the 990 Duke R model in 2025.

Launching from the official KTM website, Monday, November 4, this super-naked motor weighs 190 kg which produces a slightly higher center of gravity. The manufacturer also updates seating and ground clearance 15 mm higher than before.

This is the result of a longer travel suspension with a steeper angle in the arm of the swing, allowing the tilt angle to be about 3 degrees larger when speeding.

Then, the frame and swingarm were also updated due to the linkage construction at the back, allowing motorists to have greater mechanical grip for heavier motorists.

In terms of control, the motor is supported by the WP Apex suspension which can be fully tuned at the front and rear with the latest Cartridge Open fork with a travel of up to 143 mm.

With a diameter of 48 mm or an increase of 5 mm from 990 Duke, the motor is 34 percent stiffer to give a sporty impression.

The back has the latest WP Apex shock complemented by improvements in line with the linkage system, with travel reduced by 10 mm to 140 mm. This is done to compensate for additional components to get linkage. It has also been developed for maximum performance, equipped with a new linear spring that keeps everything under control against attacks throughout the day on the streets or tracks.

In order to support its performance, KTM 990 Duke R 2025 has a potassium monoblock from Brembo Stylema and a master cylinder of Brembo MCS at both ends. Then, the motor also uses a Michelin Power Cup 2 tire which is coupled with orange rims from the 1390 Super Duke R model.

The performance is supported by a 947 cc engine that offers up to 130 ps of power or up 7 ps with torques reaching 103 Nm. The power output is increased thanks to an improved mapping so as to be able to remove the true potential from the heart of this runway.

The manufacturer has not disclosed the price of the 990 Duke R 2025, but is expected to arrive at the dealer network in early 2025.
